Job title: Components Tendering Engineer
What has your career been like to date:
I gained a mechanical engineering degree and started my career at Aditya Birla Group in India. I then spent two years in Dubai working for a crane manufacturer before moving to the UK to do a master’s degree in project management at Salford University. While I was studying, I got a part time job at Street, which led to me being offered a full time role now that I’ve completed my master’s.
What are your main responsibilities?
I manage crane projects all over the world from the tender stage through to installation and customer handover. This involves dealing with technical and commercial enquiries, preparing crane and components tenders as well as quotations for end users and distributors around the world.
I also negotiate with clients, agree orders, and manage contracts including terms and conditions.
What do you like about working for Street?
The people are very friendly and I feel like a very valued member of the team. Working for the company part time, taught me a lot about the industry as a whole. I’m looking forward to expanding this and learning more in my full time role.
