A 200,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Indiana is benefiting from overhead cranes supplied by Hoosier Crane Service Company. Designed and built by Panzica, the plant is run by Nello Corporation, which manufactures steel towers and poles for wireless communications and wind turbines.
Hoosier Crane installed and fabricated 11 cranes utilizing components from the UK by Street Crane. Nine are double girder with the capacity to lift up to 15 tons and two high bay cranes have a lifting capacity of 20 tons. Two of the 15 ton cranes can operate in tandem enabling them to safely and efficiently lift large sheets of steel onto a 100ft plasma cutting table.

Once the selection was made and order entered, Hoosier was quick to install the 4,800ft bridge rail and worked diligently to accelerate delivery, assemble and install the cranes in a short timeframe. UK-based Street Crane provides its products through a global network of nearly 90 overseas distributors in 48 countries. All of its cranes are provided with a choice of hoists and Street Crane kits including everything needed to build a complete overhead crane except the steelwork for the main bridge girder.
One of the largest tower providers in the wireless communications industry, Nello produces more than 1,000 structures annually, growing at a rate of 25 percent per year. Its customers include Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and AT&T.
