Street Crane have been manufacturing and installing overhead cranes, portal cranes and special bespoke cranes for the manufacture and maintenance of railways or railway rolling stock for over 60 years with a focus on crane availability, reliability and ease of maintenance with minimum downtime.
For safe and accurate handling of longer loads such as a railway carriage assembly, tandem lifting is often employed. This involves two cranes operating in a master/slave configuration from a single radio control. A host of safety features can be specified to ensure safe synchronisation of the two cranes operating together.
The ZX electric wire rope hoist will generally be specified for rolling stock manufacture, maximising availability and minimising the need for maintenance. All crane travel motions are inverter controlled, ensuring safe acceleration and deceleration for load stability and precise low speed final placement.
