Discover the Power of Street Semi-Portal Cranes
Street semi-portal cranes, also known as semi-gantry cranes, provide a flexible alternative to a full portal crane where only one side of the crane needs floor-level support.
In a standard semi-portal crane, one side of the bridge runs on a floor-mounted rail, while the other side runs on a high-level rail supported by columns or an existing building structure. This makes semi-portal cranes well suited to facilities where space, layout or structural limitations make a full portal or overhead crane less practical.
For suitable smaller-capacity applications, Street can also provide a rail-less semi-portal crane. This design uses advanced polyurethane-tyred wheels running directly on the factory floor, removing the need for floor-mounted rails. The result is a cleaner working area, improved access for machinery and reduced trip hazards at floor level.

Semi-Portal cranes offer all the benefits of full goliath cranes, with added advantages for specific applications. They excel in production facilities where they can run beneath overhead cranes, providing localised hook service to production cells for a specific working area. Meanwhile, the overhead crane covers the entire working area, ensuring optimum hook coverage. Additionally, Semi-Portal cranes can operate under a gantry crane cantilever, enhancing their flexibility and utility.
Trust Street Crane to provide high-quality semi-portal cranes that meet your specific needs and enhance your operational efficiency.
