What is the difference between a Goliath crane and a gantry crane?

A Goliath crane is a type of gantry or portal crane, usually used for larger industrial lifting applications. It is supported by legs and typically travels on floor-level rails, rather than being supported by the building structure.

“Gantry crane” is a broader term and can include many crane types. Street Crane’s relevant range is engineered portal and semi-portal Goliath cranes for industrial applications.

Lifting accessories are usually examined every 6 months, unless a competent person defines a different written examination scheme.
